Are you concerned that Dick’s reason for rushing the murder trial is so that the State doesn’t have time to fully uncover the extent of Alex’s (“alleged”) involvement in other potential crimes - i.e., drug activity, Stephen Smith’s death, Gloria Satterfield’s death, etc. - and the extent to which Maggie and/or Paul knew about it? No defense attorney rushes to trial so what’s his reason? In a circumstantial evidence murder case against a “clean-cut” attorney accused of murdering his son, motive is going to play a big role. Is anyone concerned that if the State had waited to try Alex until we had a clear picture of everything going on, we’d see a much stronger motive? Also, has anyone considered spousal privilege as a potential motive for Maggie’s murder if she was considering divorce?
